Tigers vs. Orioles on 'Friday Night Baseball:' What channel, time?

The Tigers are back on national television and streaming on Friday, May 22.

That means Friday night’s series opener between the Tigers and Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards will not be broadcast on Detroit SportsNet. Here’s how you can watch the game:

What channel will the Tigers vs. Royals game be on?

Rich Waltz, former major-leaguer Ryan Spilborghs and Tricia Whitaker will be on the call for the broadcast, which will be the Tigers’ third appearance on Apple TV this season. It’s the Tigers’ eighth appearance on national television and streaming this season.

They are 4-3 on national platforms so far in 2026.

How have the Tigers done on national TV in 2026?

The Tigers are coming off a four-game sweep by the Cleveland Guardians in Detroit, capped by a 3-1 loss on Thursday afternoon. You can read The News’ Tony Paul’s daily “One thing I loved, one thing I didn’t” about the game HERE, and John Niyo’s column on the reeling Tigers HERE.

The Tigers are 20-31. The Orioles are 21-29.
