Terrion Arnold has a new team.
Arnold is signing with the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, according to multiple reports Thursday, Aug. 13.
Arnold was a first-round pick by the Lions in 2024 and was a starting cornerback in his first two seasons. However, he was released on June 29 after his arrest for allegedly orchestrating a kidnapping and assault in Florida in February.
The cornerback was granted a $1 million bond by a Florida judge and was allowed to continue playing in the NFL following a hearing for his alleged activities. Arnold still faces four counts of kidnapping and assault related to the February event in Hillsborough County.
Arnold reportedly received interest from at least four teams after he was cut by the Lions, with the Seahawks included as one of those teams. Arnold was featured on a recent episode of the HBO series “Hard Knocks” working out for the Seahawks, though it was unclear from the episode whether the Seahawks were interested in bringing him in.
A first-round pick from Alabama, Arnold was expected to play a big role for the Lions’ defense in 2026 despite an underwhelming rookie season in 2024 and an injury-shortened season in 2025. The Lions have not yet named a starting cornerback replacement for Arnold.
