Tecumseh Police arrest suspect in connection with June 5 shooting

The Tecumseh Police Department has arrested a 34-year-old Tecumseh man in connection with a shooting June 5 that left another resident hospitalized in serious condition.

The department is still investigating the shooting that occurred around 12:15 a.m. in the area of Standish Dam Park off Burt Street. Neither the suspect, nor the victim, have been identified.

The two met at the location to settle a dispute, police said, when gunfire was exchanged.

The victim, yet to be identified, was able to leave the park. He was found at a home off North Union Street with a gunshot wound to his right cheek. He remains hospitalized at Trinity Hospital in Ann Arbor.
