Road work update: Culvert replacement to close M-100 near Potterville

POTTERVILLE — A main thoroughfare will be closed north of Potterville for about nine days this month so crews can replace a culvert.

Northbound and southbound M-100, also known as Hartel Road, will be closed at Gresham Highway from 5 a.m. July 10 until 5 p.m. July 19, state highway officials said.

Traffic will be detoured via Lansing Road, Nixon Road and Windsor Highway, the Michigan Department of Transportation said.

Two other road projects were scheduled to get underway this week in Eaton County.

One of them is resurfacing of M-100 between I-96 and Doane Highway, prompting lane closures. MDOT said the work is expected to be finished by Aug. 15. Drivers who use that section of the highway are being advised to find alternate routes.

Meanwhile, intermittent lane closures were expected on M-43 (Saginaw Highway) at Carrier Creek in Delta Township, where crews are doing maintenance on the culvert lining. That project was scheudled for July 8 to Aug. 15, MDOT said.
