Reward offered for tips on fatal bedroom shooting of Pontiac man

Detectives are offering a reward for information about the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old Pontiac man found in a bedroom.

Oakland County deputies say they responded to a 911 call around 10 p.m. Sunday about a shooting on the 300 block of Central Avenue. A resident of the home told deputies that the man, Brian Keith Washington Jr., had been shot in the neck in the and was not breathing.

Deputies and Waterford Regional Fire Department Township tried to save Washington’s life before paramedics took him to a hospital, where police say he was pronounced dead.

Deputies found the man in a bedroom, and detectives say they found bullet shell casings outside a bedroom window at the home.

No arrests have been made yet. Crime Stoppers is offering $2,000 for tips that lead to an arrest and says tipsters will not be named.
