Preview Michigan State football's June 6 official visit list

Another major recruiting weekend is set to commence as Michigan State looks to continue building out its 2026 recruiting class. The Spartans are gearing up to host another slate of visitors this weekend, starting on Friday.

After last weekend, Michigan State came away with two commitments, and are sitting in a very good position for several other prospects coming out of the weekend. This weekend, the slate is shaping up for the Spartans to further their success.

Michigan State currently holds six commitments in their 2026 recruiting class: Joey Caudill, Kayd Coffman, Eli Bickel, Brayden Thomas, Eddie Whiting and Braylon Hodge.

Michigan State is slated to host seven different prospects on campus, and while there is not a true headliner, there is no doubt that there are some priority positions and prospects that are going to be on campus.

Check out which seven prospects are on campus for the Spartans:

LB Charles Belser

A 3-star linebacker from Philadelphia (PA), Charles Belser stands at 6-foot-2, weighing 215 pounds, and is a very strong prospect at the position. He would be the perfect pair for the Spartans and current LB commit Braylon Hodge.

All indications point to the Spartans being the overwhelming favorite in this recruitment, all Joe Rossi and his staff have to do is close it down. As of now, official visits to Virginia Tech and UCF are still on the books.

WR Zachary Washington

It would just be a win for Courtney Hawkins to get the Wheaton, Illinois wide receiver on campus for his visit. Barring a last minute cancellation, it seems like it is going as planned, though. Wisconsin hit the visit with Washington out of the park last week, which has turned into a plethora of crystal ball predictions for him to end up in Madison.

Thankfully, the Spartans may get their crack at changing those tides. The 6-foot-2, 185 pound receiver has been one of the top prospects for Hawkins, who would like to see the 3-star in the green and white.

CB TJ Umenyiora

A 6’1″/185 pound corner from Roswell, Georgia, TJ Umenyiora is the son of longtime NFL veteran Osi. A standout at Blessed Trinity Catholic, Umenyiora ranks as a middling 3-star prospect, but his film pops much better than the rankings show.

Mississippi State and Northwestern already received visits from the standout corner, while Auburn is slated to get a visit after his trip to East Lansing. There is no indication if he will plan anything to round out the month of June.

DL Nehemiah Kolone

A 6-foot-4, 255 pound defensive lineman from Stillwater, Oklahoma, Kolone has been a main priority for MSU defensive line coach Legi Suiaunoa. While he sits as a middle 3-star, his offer list and film are anything but what that ranking shows.

Having already made the hometown trip to Oklahoma State, Kolone will head to BYU and Kansas after his trip to East Lansing.

DL Christopher Knauls

A Frisco (TX) Lone Star High School product, Knauls is a defensive lineman in a very similar mold to Kolone. At 6’4″ and 265 pounds, Knauls is a 3-star prospect with a solid offer sheet. He is slated to visit Houston and Kansas after this trip to East Lansing, and has already made trips to Oklahoma State and Boise State.

This is another prospect that all indications are showing that the Spartans are firmly in the lead for, but will need to win the visit, and hold off any additional pressure from the Cougars and Jayhawks, who both are much closer to his hometown.

DB Eliyjah Caldwell-Hardy

A 3-star defensive back from Jacksonville, Florida, Caldwell-Hardy is a standout at Global Impact Ministries Academy. A 6’0″, 185 pound defensive back, he most likely translates to the safety position at the next level.

This should be an attainable win for MSU, if they choose to pursue, being the fact that his only other official visit is slated for Florida Atlantic, although he does hold offers from Syracuse and UCLA.

CB Tyson Sanford

At 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, Sanford is a specialty corner that most likely would specialize in playing the nickel spot in the secondary. He is currently unranked by the major recruiting services. A Suwanee (GA) native, he is another prospect that the Spartans are targeting from Peachtree Ridge High School.

As of now, the only other visit on the schedule is slated for Wake Forest, although offers from Cincinnati and Duke could play a factor in that schedule as well.
