Play golf and help area Michigan families? Win-win fundraiser set in August

A golf outing fundraiser is set for Aug. 2 in Battle Creek but its benefits will go beyond the city.

According to a community announcement, the Whack For Warmth event will support Community Action of South Central Michigan’s Emergency Assistance Program. This program helps income-eligible households with heating costs and critical housing needs in Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Kalamazoo and St. Joseph counties.

Registrations and sponsorships are due by July 25.
