MSU football to host priority, 3-star Illinois WR prospect this week

Michigan State football is set to host one of their top priority wide receiver prospects in the 2027 class for an unofficial visit this week.

Ronnie Gomiller of East St. Louis, Ill. will visit Michigan State on Tuesday, according to a post from his social media X account. This is assumed to be an unofficial visit for Gomiller to Michigan State as part of the Spartans’ spring practice session visits.

Gomiller is listed as a three-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 88 in 247Sports’ system. He ranks as the No. 80 wide receiver and No. 21 player from Illinois in the 2027 class.

Michigan State is one of nearly 15 schools to extend an offer to Gomiller, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Utah, Cincinnati, Arizona State, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas State, Kentucky, Maryland and Washington State.

Michigan State is currently crystal ball projected to land Gomiller’s commitment. He also has recruiting official visits lined up with Utah and Cincinnati, so it appears those are the three schools in best position for his commitment at this time.
