Michigan State football has extended an offer to a big-time 2028 quarterback prospect following a recent camp visit with the Spartans.
James Armstrong of Aliquippa, Pa. announced on Tuesday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. According to a social media post from Armstrong, he received his offer from Michigan State following a camp with the Spartans on Tuesday.
Armstrong is listed as a four-star quarterback, with a recruiting rating of 93.52 in 247Sports’ composite system. He ranks as the No. 10 quarterback and No. 4 player from Pennsylvania in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2028 class. He is also listed as the No. 169 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State joins a long list of schools showing interest in Armstrong. According to 247Sports, he now holds offers from 25 schools. Some of the more notable schools to offer him includes Auburn, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Colorado, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Pitt, Penn State, Syracuse, UCLA, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
