Mendon's Ryder Gorham breaks school's scoring record from 1998

MENDON — Mendon’s Ryder Gorham broke the school record for most career points scored on Monday night.

Gorham finished with 36 points, six rebounds and six assists as the Hornets beat Bellevue 84-40. Gorham finished the evening with 1,344 career points, breaking David Schrock’s previous record of 1,320 points, which stood since 1998.

Owen Gorham added 20 points with 10 rebounds, five steals and three assists for the Hornets. Carter Huston added 10 points while Tristin Wood scored seven points with six rebounds. Dante Goto finished with five points and eight rebounds, Liam Smith tossed in five points as well. Gabe Terry connected on a free throw while Ky Truckey had three rebounds and two steals.

White Pigeon beats Marcellus

The White Pigeon boys beat Marcellus on Tuesday, 70-35.

Ty Strawser led the Chiefs in the game with 28 points and six assists. Connor Finch scored nine points with seven rebounds. Zach Royce, Riley Horner and Dace Kochel all scored seven points. Royce handed out seven assists while Horner had eight rebounds.

Marcellus got 19 points from Jamarion Robinson in the game.

Centreville upended by Decatur

The Centreville boys dropped a 56-48 decision to Decatur on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were led in the game by Isaac Miller with 13 points, Brayden Swanwick tossed in 10 points as well. Cash Dentler scored nine and Jayden Long-Hasse added eight points. Dawson Webb and Wil Hulin both scored four.
