A 77-year-old man from Detroit, who may have been affected by a cardiac event, died after the vehicle he was driving rolled over on southbound M-10 Lodge near Linwood Street in Detroit on Friday, Sept. 19, according to preliminary investigation by police.
The man was driving on M-10 near Linwood around 9:50 p.m. when the his vehicle ran off the roadway, struck the median wall, overturned and came to rest on its roof, according to Michigan State Police Second District on X.
The flipped vehicle blocked the left lane of southbound M-10, according to MSP Second District.
The Detroit fire officials, Superior EMS and troopers provided on-scene medical treatment and transported the man to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Southbound M-10 at Linwood was closed after the crash for investigation and reopened around 11:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, Public Information Officer Lt. Kim Vetter said.
