The Indian River community welcomed the Golden Arches back to town on Tuesday, Aug. 11 with the grand opening of a new McDonald’s restaurant.
The celebration takes place just over a year after the town’s former McDonald’s was destroyed in an early morning fire.
“Indian River has shown our family and our McDonald’s team so much support over the past year, and it means so much to us to be back serving this community,” said Cindy Villaire, McDonald’s Owner/Operator, in a statement. “This restaurant is a place where neighbors gather, young people can find their first job and our team can build lasting relationships with the people we serve. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this reopening possible.”
As part of the grand opening, the Villaire Organization presented donations to the Tuscarora Township Fire Department and GLOW Community Center.
The new restaurant is located at 6284 M-68 Highway.
