If you’re not already busy at Boyne Thunder or Blissfest, there are a few other fun events happening this weekend around Northern Michigan.
Here’s what we recommend:
Enjoy “Ragtime the Musical” in Bay View
The Bay View Association will stage “Ragtime the Musical” this weekend with performances at 8 p.m. on July 11 and 12.
The show will take place in John Hall Auditorium.

Soar with the Young Eagles
Children ages 8 to 17 have the chance to enjoy a free ride from the Harbor Springs chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association during a “Young Eagles” event at the Harbor Springs Municipal Airport on Saturday, July 12.
The rides will be available from 9 a.m. until noon with local licensed pilots, who are members of the chapter and are donating their services and planes for the day. Parents are encouraged to register their children online in advance at chapters.eaa.org/eaa1087/young-eagles.
Each child must be accompanied by a parent. After the flight, the child will also receive an EAA pilot logbook and a certificate signed by the pilot.
If you miss the Harbor Springs event, there will be another chance for a Young Eagles flight on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the Pellston Regional Airport.
