“Livingston In Photos,” a series shot by reporter Makayla Coffee, highlights the extra-ordinary happenings of your neighbors.
HOWELL — The Simply Cherry Collection in downtown Howell is seeking community support; before it’s too late.
Morgan Cherry, the business’ owner, posted to social media Feb. 17 that, without an increase it sales, the retail shop won’t be able to stay open much longer.
For this week’s Livingston in Photos, I spoke with Cherry and browsed through the merchandise available as of Feb. 18. The shop carries a variety of spirit wear, from Howell High School to the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. Shoppers will also find seasonal holiday apparel, custom shirts, slime, stickers and gift items.
In her post, Cherry wrote the business at 120 W. Grand River Ave. has entered a “really tough season.”
“This place means everything to me and my family,” she wrote. “I’m not ready to give up on it, but I can’t do it without you.”
Cherry said, since making the post, customers from across the country have reached out. Still, she added, the business needs consistent orders to keep the doors open.
“Every single order right now truly matters,” she wrote, encouraging those who can’t shop to share the post, tell a friend, or even just stop in.
The business is currently open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays. Learn more online at simplycherry.shop.
