Michigan football general manager Dave Peloquin was given a two-year deal worth slightly more than $1 million to, among other things, build the roster and manage the transfer portal.
Peloquin, hired by first-year Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham, will make $500,000 this first year and $525,000 next year according to a memorandum of understanding obtained by The Detroit News. He replaces Sean Magee, who had a three-year contract for $1.08 million.

If Peloquin leaves Michigan during his first year, he will owe $500,000 and during Year 2, $268,000.
Michigan this week announced Chris Pettit, a former New York Giants executive, is assistant general manager.
Michigan also announced that former receivers coach Ron Bellamy is the senior director of recruiting relations, and Richard Perry and John Collins are assistant directors of player personnel.
Skylar Phan, who previously worked at USC, was made official as director of recruiting, while Lexi Hughes is associate director of recruiting, and Tyler Markray is assistant director.
