Thousands of nationwide demonstrations against actions of the Trump administration are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, including dozens in Michigan — and near Ionia County.
The demonstrations are being organized under No Kings.

“No Kings is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration,” the organization’s website reads.
“Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and bigger,” the website continues. “(No Kings) is more than just a slogan; (it’s) the foundation our nation was built upon.”

According to No Kings, at least 70 protests are planned across Michigan on Oct. 18, including in:
