Draught Horse Brewery & Spirits in Lyon Township to close after 10 years

Draught Horse Brewery & Spirits in Lyon Township will close Sept. 13, the restaurant, bar and brewery announced Wednesday, Sept. 3 on its social media accounts.

“Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your loyal patronage and support over the past decade,” according to the post. “We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our amazing staff—without their dedication, hard work, and passion, none of this would have been possible. They have truly been the heart and soul of Draught Horse!”

However, there’s good news for beer lovers, The location’s new owner will continue it as a restaurant and microbrewery and keep on any staff who wish to remain.

The brewery located at 57721 Grand River Ave. was founded by Brad Tiernan and opened in September 2015.

While the brewery’s last regular service day will be Sept. 13, it also teased that details would be coming about a farewell party to celebrate the community.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your lives for the past 10 years—it has been an absolute honor to serve this community.
