The Detroit Tigers are all set for their 2025 home playoff debut, but the rainy weather might push the Game 3 start time back a bit.
The Tigers are scheduled to play the Seattle Mariners in Game 3 of the ALDS on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 4:08 p.m. ET at Comerica Park in Detroit, but the rainy weather the city has received all morning (with more potentially on the way) could impact the start time.
No delay has been announced as of now, but that could change in the coming hours.
Per AccuWeather, there is a 45% chance of rain around first pitch (4:08 p.m. ET) as of 1 p.m., with the chance of rain clearing up to 0% around 8 p.m. ET — though the forecast could change as the day progresses.

A.J. Hinch: “We’re going to play.”
Tigers manager A.J. Hinch is optimistic the Tigers and Mariners will play a Game 3 on Tuesday, though he doesn’t know for sure when the game will start.
“We don’t know exactly when we’re going to start,” Hinch said. “Right now, it’s on time. I think I’m going to get an update as we get closer to game time.”
Tarp on the field
It seems like the grounds crew at Comerica Park was prepared for the rain.
Though there is only light precipitation at the moment, a tarp has been covering the infield all day so far — though the weather has been mild enough for players from both teams to warm up in the outfield.
