DUNDEE, MI— On Thursday, Sept. 11, members of Dundee’s village government and representatives from Culver’s came together to break ground on a new location.
At 16495 Tecumseh St., property once owned by brothers Tim and David Janssen will be converted from farmland to the new site for fast-food restaurant Culver’s.
“And I am super excited to get started, I can’t even tell you,” said the location’s co-owner and operator Gerry Olinik. “I am chomping at the bit to get going here.”
Olinik said he anticipates the location to be successful due to the support shown from the community and the people he’s sure will be drawn in from the expressway.
Others present at the groundbreaking included co-owner and operator Sean Carleton, Dave Kubiske with David Arthur Consultants, Inc., Nick Pipitone with OWL Services, Frank Martin with Dorchen-Martin Associates Inc., Dundee President Tim Bordine, Village Manager Ryan Rudzis, and Joe and Tammy Wehrle with Dundee’s building department.
According to Martin, construction is set to begin on Monday, Sept. 15.
