CHARLEVOIX — A senior from Charlevoix Middle/High School was named as the recipient of this year’s Young Women in Leadership award from the Charlevoix Area Zonta Club.
Lena Catherine Sytsma-Reed received the award, which honors young women ages 16-19 for their leadership skills and commitment to public service, according to a community announcement.
The award aims to encourage recipients to pursue decision-making roles in their communities to influence policies affecting women.
