Cedar Point is set to scare, thrill guests. Here's what to know about 2025 HalloWeekends

Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends open this week and continue into November with a new haunted movie-inspired fright theme for 2025, featuring the haunted doll, Annabelle.

“Get the family together and enjoy not-so-scary fall activities, your favorite rides and attractions, live entertainment and more, OR immerse yourself in terrifying mazes, spine-tingling scare zones and thrilling shows when the sun goes down,” Cedar Point said on its website.

Starting Thursday, Sept. 11, the Sandusky, Ohio, park’s HalloWeekends take place each week, Thursday through Sunday, until Sunday, Nov. 2, the park’s final day for the 2025 season. The park is closed Monday through Wednesday the rest of the season.

This year, the park is collaborating with producers of “The Conjuring” movie series. The latest in the series, “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” premiered on Sept. 5. The park has created “The Conjuring: Beyond Fear” in which guests navigate iconic scenes from New Line Cinema’s “The Conjuring Universe” to lock away the “Annabelle” doll before supernatural mayhem occurs.

Some HalloWeekends activities are included with park admission, but attractions like the haunted mazes and The Conjuring attraction require a separate fees to access.

With Michigan’s Adventure now closed for the season, Cedar Point is the closest amusement park to enjoy coasters and other attractions. Here’s what to know about Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends 2025:

When do Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends start 2025?

The first HalloWeekend kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 11, according to Cedar Point’s website.

When does Cedar Point close in 2025?

The park will close for the season after Sunday, Nov. 2, according to the park’s online calendar.

How much do tickets cost for HalloWeekends?

Park admission with Haunted Attractions Pass start at $60

The haunted mazes, merchandise and the new The Conjuring: Beyond Fear attraction require an additional purchase on top of a park admission ticket, with starting prices of $25-$50.

The HalloWeekends Nighttime Frights bundle — park admission, Haunted Attractions pass and The Conjuring: Beyond Fear — starts at $99.

All ticket types may be purchased via Cedar Point’s website. There are discounts for military and first responders; birthday and group packages; 2025-26 season passes; and the HalloWeekend offers.

In addition, guests may add enhancements to their tickets, including fast lane passes, or dining and drink deals.

What can I access without a Haunted Attractions Pass at Cedar Point?

Guests still have access to the following attractions with a park admission ticket, according to Cedar Point’s website:

What is The Conjuring: Beyond Fear attraction at HalloWeekends?

The attraction, The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, is an immersive experience in which guests are fight against supernatural characters from popular movies such as “The Conjuring,” “The Nun,” “Annabelle,” “The Crooked Man” and more.

“Join a small group of recruits and take on the daunting mission of restoring order after dark forces escape from the cursed objects within the Warren Artifact Room,” the park explains.

Guests are are given a mission by paranormal recruiters to secure “cursed artifacts” to lock Annabelle back into her secure box before “supernatural chaos is unleashed,” Cedar Point said. The challenge lasts more than 20 minutes and is recommended for guests 13 and older — parental discretion is strongly encouraged, Cedar Point warns.

The challenge is not included with park admission or a Haunted Attractions Pass, and is subject to limited availability. To gain access you must:

Guest can only enter the attraction once per night. The attraction is accessible for those with disabilities as it offers a wide range of challenges, according to the event’s website.

“This kid-friendly celebration takes place before the sun sets and the scares set up — it’s all fun, no fear during the daytime at Cedar Point!” Cedar Point said.

Can I take pictures with the costomed actors at HalloWeekends?

No, according to the park’s photography and recording policy, guests are not permitted to take pictures or video (or any audio) inside the haunted mazes.
