Voters were emphatic in the final Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week poll for the 2024-25 season.
Monroe soccer player Claire Charnock topped the rest of the winners for the spring season by drawing 795 votes. That was by far the highest total of the spring.
The previous high mark was by St. Mary Catholic Central softball player Hannah Williams, who had her name clicked 584 times in the April 7-13 poll.
Williams finished second in the Best of the Spring ballot with 433 and Monroe softball player Avery Leach was third with 215.
Thanks to all the voters who cast a total of 60,538 votes during the 41 weeks of the school year.
The Athlete of the Week poll will return when high school sports resume in the fall.
