The Capital City Film Festival brings a bevy of independent films to the heart of mid-Michigan each year, but it’s not just about the movies. The festival also celebrates great music from mid-Michigan and beyond.

As the festival starts to wrap up, we’re digging into some music events that are happening in conjunction with the event.

The headliner DEGEN is described as a “genre-disrupter” who “enjoys taking songs you’ve heard before and reinventing them, inverting their original sounds.” Expect to hear a range of styles spun, including hyper-pop, dubstep, old-school techno and jersey club.
