Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office discontinues local search operations for missing teen

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office has discontinued local search operations for missing teen Glenn Lee Brown following a confirmed sighting of him on a train headed to Chicago.

“Since Glenn was reported missing on May 7, after leaving Pennfield High School, deputies conducted an extensive search using K9 teams, thermal imaging drones, aerial support from the Michigan State Police, and assistance from surrounding law enforcement agencies and volunteer search and rescue organizations,” the sheriff department said in a Thursday news release.

“A confirmed report has identified Glenn, unaccompanied, on a train en route to Chicago. A witness saw him arrive in Chicago. All relevant information has been shared with authorities in that area, and the investigation will continue in cooperation with law enforcement in Illinois.”

While search operations in Calhoun County have concluded, the sheriff’s office said it remains committed to assisting partner agencies and following up on any credible information that may aid in locating Glenn.

If you have any information about Glenn’s whereabouts or may have had contact with him, contact Lt. Benjamin Hess at 269-781-0880 or submit an anonymous tip to Silent Observer at 269-964-3888.

“We remain hopeful for Glenn’s safe return and thank the community for their support, vigilance, and cooperation throughout this search,” she sheriff’s office said.
