Breeze Airways to add third Florida city to list of destinations from Lansing

DeWITT TWP. — Breeze Airways said it plans to add flights to Tampa from Capital Region International Airport in October, expanding its list of destinations from Lansing to three Florida cities.

The Salt Lake City-based carrier will offer service to Tampa on Wednesdays and Saturdays, beginning Oct. 1.

Breeze Airways began offering flights to Orlando (year-round) and Fort Myers (seasonal) from Lansing in October 2024. Those routes are continuing, said Ryne Williams, a spokesman for the airline.

The airline is offering promotional $79 fares to Tampa for travel through Jan. 6. Tickets must be purchased by May 13, it said.

“We are so excited to continue growing with Breeze Airways and to add another nonstop sunny destination option for our customers and the entire mid-Michigan region,” Nicole Noll-Williams, president and CEO of the Capital Region Airport Authority, said in a news release. “The addition of nonstop service to Tampa gives our community more travel options and greater access to Florida, all with the stress-free travel experience of flying Lansing.”

“Breeze continues to grow from Lansing,” David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ founder and CEO, said in the release. “Now our Lansing Guests have a new way to get to Tampa on the same, convenient, premium product they already enjoy.”

The airline began flying in May 2021 and now serves 72 cities in 32 states. Lansing remains the only Michigan city served by Breeze.
