DELTA TWP. — Police said a 12-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle and killed while riding a bicycle in the area of Willow Highway and Interstate 96 late on Oct. 23.
The incident happened about 11:33 p.m., the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The boy, who police said was a Grand Ledge resident, was hit by a vehicle traveling east on Willow Highway, officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stopped at the scene, a sheriff’s department spokesperson said.
No other details about the incident were released.
Sheriff’s detectives and the county’s Crash Investigation Team were investigating.
