As SNAP benefits halt, here are some food pantries, free meals in Monroe County

With Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits expiring on Nov. 1, many in Monroe County will need food assistance.

According to the Green Book Report of Key Program Statistics Sept. 2025 issued by the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, in Monroe County there are 16,198 recipients of the food assistance program and 6,294 are children.
