A must-see aerial view of Holland after recent rainstorms

“Holland In Photos,” a series shot by Sentinel photographer Adam Vander Kooy, highlights the extra-ordinary happenings of your neighbors.

HOLLAND — For this week’s Holland in Photos, I took to the skies after a series of recent storms. My first stop was Window on the Waterfront, where I captured water flowing down the Macatawa River toward Lake Macatawa.

From there, I made my way to Windmill Island Gardens. De Zwaan stood out through low cloud cover, rising above the surrounding trees and water. Then I moved over to Lake Macatawa, where seagulls sat atop buoys as boats and shoreline stretched out from above.
