The 2025 Detroit Jazz Festival, running this weekend in downtown Detroit from Friday, Aug. 29 until Monday, Sept. 1, has unveiled new safety procedures for Hart Plaza and expanded musical offerings at the Gretchen C. Valade Jazz Center at Wayne State University as part of its commitment to delivering a free, world-class jazz experience for all.
“Our number one priority is the safety of our artists, guests, and community,” said Chris Collins, president and artistic director, Detroit Jazz Festival Foundation. “With updated security procedures and newly curated programming, we’re ensuring the 2025 Festival is as safe, memorable and seamless as it is inspiring.”
