The school season is fast approaching for public school districts in Lenawee County. Despite some similarities, the districts have several differences in their schedule throughout the year.
The list below is based on information available from districts’ online 2025-26 school calendars as of Aug. 14. Check each district’s website for the most updated information.
When does school start for students in Lenawee County?
School begins Monday, Aug. 25, for the following nine districts: Adrian Public Schools, Addison Community Schools, Blissfield Community Schools, Britton Deerfield Schools, Clinton Community Schools, Hudson Area Schools, Madison School District, Morenci Area Schools and Onsted Community Schools.
Sand Creek Community Schools and Tecumseh Public Schools started Aug. 18.
All districts are off Friday, Aug. 29, and Monday, Sept. 1, for Labor Day.
When are holiday breaks in Lenawee County?
All districts are off Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 26-28, for Thanksgiving Break, although Addison, Britton Deerfield, Hudson, Morenci and Sand Creek have a half day on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
All districts are also off Monday, Dec. 22, through Friday, Jan. 2, with school resuming Monday, Jan. 5.
When are students off in Lenawee County during the second semester?
Mid-Winter Break is held Friday, Feb. 13, through Monday, Feb. 16, for Adrian, Blissfield, Britton Deerfield, Clinton, Hudson, Madison, Morenci, Onsted, Sand Creek and Tecumseh. The holiday is observed only on Friday, Feb. 16, for Addison. Some districts may have a half day Feb. 13.
Spring Break is the week of Monday, March 23, for local districts, with school resuming Monday, March 30. Students and teachers also have Friday, April 3, off for Good Friday in all districts except Addison, which has a half day.
