Condolences to the Danneels family
During commissioner privilege at the end of the commission meeting Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Hendrick said she wanted to offer her condolences to the family of late city resident Denny Danneels.

Marine City Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Hendrick and Mayor Jennifer Vandenbossche took time out at a recent meeting to offer condolences to the family of city resident, Denny Danneels following his passing on March 16.
“Denny was such a fixture in this community, hardest working guy I’ve ever seen around here,” Hendrick said. “I know it’s impacted a lot of people and it was a shock to everybody, he was a great guy and hopefully we can do something about that, we’ve had people asking so it’s going to be looked into.”
Mayor Jennifer Vandenbossche also offered her condolences to the Danneels family for Denny’s passing.
“Denny did a lot for the community and he did a lot for the Veteran’s Memorial Park, he will truly be missed,” Vandenbossche said.
An obituary for Danneels at the online page for Grace Memorial – Bower-Rose Funeral Home stated that he passed away peacefully at his home on March 16 at the age of 77. It also noted that he was survived by five children, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
