Open Mic Music to Follow for a Full Afternoon of Live Entertainment
Port Sanilac, MI (May 29th) – The Sanilac County Historical Society is pleased to announce a special afternoon of music at the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum on Saturday, June 14th, beginning at 2:30 PM. This event is free and open to the public.
The Croswell-Lexington Community Band will kick off the festivities with a full-length concert at 2:30 PM. Featuring a mix of patriotic pieces, marches, and beloved classics, the band’s performance promises to be a stirring celebration of community and sound.
Following the concert, the stage will open to local talent during an Open Mic Music Session. Sign-ups begin at 3:30 PM, with performances starting at 4:00 PM. Community members are encouraged to participate, whether as performers or enthusiastic audience members.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a free concert in a beautiful, historic setting,” said Dan Finn, Administrator of the Sanilac County Historical Society. “And for anyone who’s been itching to get on stage and share their music, our Open Mic welcomes all levels of talent.”
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy the peaceful charm of the museum grounds. Light refreshments will be available for purchase, and guests are welcome to bring their own snacks or picnic baskets.
The event will be held outdoors, weather permitting. In the case of inclement weather, performances will move inside the historic Village Church.
