In this episode, Ernest speaks about this year’s Rock the Block, which is a program that renovates homes to beautify the neighborhood. Habitat for Humanity participates in Rock the Block nationwide. This year, Blue Water Habitat will be beautifying the neighborhoods surrounding two park areas in Port Huron, Garfield Park, and Mansfield Park
Rock the Block works along with elected officials, volunteers, and homeowners to make these changes a reality. Blue Water Habitat has continued the growth and expansion of Rock the Block by involving organizations such as the City of Port Huron and the Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce.
Blue Water Habitat for Humanity is planning to have at least twenty-five homes this year that will be participating in Rock the Block.
Rock the Block will take place on Saturday, August 21st 2021.
