The Chicago Bears hit the practice field at Halas Hall on Wednesday morning for the first practice of training camp under new head coach Ben Johnson.
It was a closed practice, but the media have started to share observations. Johnson mentioned Tuesday that it’s going to be an up-and-down process during training camp, and Wednesday certainly sounded like it was a struggle at times. According to Adam Hoge, there were some “growing pains” for the offense, where Johnson had to step in at one point during 7-on-7s.
As far as attendance goes, rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III and rookie cornerback Zah Frazier weren’t spotted on the field. But rookie tight end Colston Loveland and left tackle Braxton Jones did participate.
