Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing recently hosted Next Stop Nursing, a free camp for students from more than 15 Lubbock-area middle and high schools.
Dozens of middle and high school students from the Lubbock area interested in exploring careers in nursing experienced hands-on learning activities at TTUHSC School of Nursing’s Next Stop Nursing Camp Friday, Aug. 7, at TTUHSC.
Along with campus tours and mentoring opportunities with current nursing students, camp participants also experienced interactive nursing skill simulations, including CPR and Stop the Bleed training, ultrasounds, neonatal assessments, IV insertion using simulation arms and suturing.
