The Crooked Tree Arts Center announced on Monday, Aug. 10 that executive director Angela Morris has resigned her position, effective Aug. 21.
According to the arts center’s announcement, Morris resigned in order to focus more fully on her family and personal life. She joined Crooked Tree in 2023 as the regional development manager and then became executive director in 2024.
In a letter to CTAC patrons, Morris wrote “While it is never easy to leave an organization you care deeply about, I do so with tremendous confidence in CTAC’s future. The organization is well-positioned for continued success, and I am excited to see what the next chapter brings.”
The arts center will be posting an interim executive director position, while a comprehensive search for a permanent candidate takes place.
“The Executive Committee fully supports Angela’s decision and, while we are saddened to see her leave, we are grateful for her leadership and the many contributions she has made to Crooked Tree Arts Center,” said John Fergus-Jean, chair of the CTAC Board of Directors, in the announcement. “We wish her and her family all the best in this next chapter.”
