OSHKOSH – Back-to-school season is here.
Oshkosh Area School District faculty and staff are preparing for the 2026-27 school year ahead of Labor Day as new professional staff training days in the district are scheduled for Aug. 10-12.
Professional development for all employee groups within OASD is scheduled for Aug. 18-20, Aug. 24-27 and Aug. 31.
Most Oshkosh Area School District students return to classrooms before Labor Day. Students in grades 1-12 start Sept. 1, while kindergarten students have staggered starts Sept. 1-2 and 4K students have staggered starts Sept. 2-3.
Private school Acton Academy resumes classes Sept. 8, and Lourdes Academy starts its fall semester Aug. 25.
Middle and high school students at Valley Christian School attend classes Aug. 24 while elementary students return Aug. 25.
According to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh calendar, the academic year begins Aug. 24 and academic registration starts Sept. 8. Classes for the 14-week fall term begin Sept. 9.
