If you love hot dogs fresh off the grill, mark your calendars and set an alarm for Wednesday, July 15.
National Hot Dog Day was established in 1991, according to nationaldaycalendar.com, and is celebrated on the third Wednesday of July to celebrate the humble hot dog. July is also deemed National Hot Dog Month.
Well-known beverage maker Pepsi is celebrating the day and teaming up with local and legendary spots, offering a free hot dog deal.
Coney and hot dog lovers can get a free hot dog at two places in metro Detroit, including the legendary American Coney Island, known for its beloved coneys.
To get the free hot dog, customers will need to purchase a Pepsi Zero Sugar.
Pepsi’s giveaway is part of celebrating one of America’s beloved comfort foods along with its “Local Eats Deserve Pepsi” platform, according to a news release.
Since the platform’s launch, Pepsi says it “supported more than 75,000 local restaurants nationwide by providing restaurants with behind-the-scenes resources while encouraging diners to discover and support neighborhood favorites.”
Here are the two places with the free hot dog offer valid with a Pepsi Zero Sugar purchase on Wednesday, July 15.
