Like other teams, the All-West softball team will include superlatives, three teams and an honorable mentions section. Selections are based on nominations by area coaches.

Most Valuable Player

Brooklynn Reyes, sr., Reagan County, P

Reyes cemeted herself as one of the top players in West Texas softball history with a season to remember in Big Lake. The Wayland Baptist signee’s timely home run against Stamford pushed the Lady Owls to their first regional semifinal game, while her pitching shutout against Clarendon in the next round got Reagan County to the program’s first regional final in the UIL Class 2A playoffs. Reyes prodcued at the plate, batting .621 with a 1.791 on-base plus slugging, 23 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 50 RBIs. As the top arm in the Lady Owl’s rotation, she had a 2.95 ERA with 171 strikeouts and an 11-4 record. Her dominance earned her District 5-2A Most Valuable Player Honors, and the 2026 All-West Texas MVP title.

Offensive Player of the Year

Analia Hinojosa, jr., Big Spring

Hinojosa, the District 5-4A Offensive Player of the Year, hit .643 with a .681 on-base percentage, while notching 24 doubles, four triples, seven home runs, 52 RBIs, 52 runs and 21 stolen bases.

Defensive Player of the Year

Bree Lewis, sr., Coahoma, 1B/LF

Lewis was named the District 3-3A Defensive MVP after posting a .987 fielding percentage, with assistant coach Cassie Lewis describing her “like a vacuum at first base.” She also batted .468 with a .511 on-base percentage. She also had six doubles, one triple, 34 RBIs and four home runs.

Pitcher of the Year

Madee Williams, sr., Wall, P

Williams, a District 6-3A first team selection, notched 154 strikeouts with a 2.07 ERA in 165⅓ innings tossed across a 21-5 record. She also batted .432 with a .500 OBP, finishing with 13 doubles, eight home runs, 52 RBIs and 17 runs.

Co-Newcomer of the Year

Brynlee Bryant, fr., Big Spring, P/OF

Bryant took over as the Lady Steers’ top option in the circle and amassed 14 wins, while tossing 104⅓ innings with 113 strikeouts, a 3.891 ERA and a .245 batting average against. The District 5-4A Utility Player of the Year batted .418 with a .480 on-base percentage, adding 10 doubles, three triples, 23 RBIs, 22 runs and five stolen bases on offense.

“Brynlee Bryant carried a majority of the workload for us on the mound as a freshman and handled it with composure far beyond her years, “Big Spring softball coach Chelsey Jordan said. “She stayed calm under pressure, competed every inning, and consistently hit her spots while spinning the ball extremely well. Brynlee also contributed at the plate and continued to hold her own in the box throughout the season. She is a great student-athlete with an incredible work ethic, and I’m extremely proud of the way she performed during her freshman year. The future is very bright for her.”

Co-Newcomer of the Year

Elise Jordan, fr., Wall, 2B

Jordan was a District 6-3A first team selection, batting .474 with a .500 on-base percentage. She added three doubles, two triples, two home runs, 29 RBIs, 33 runs and five stolen bases for the Lady Hawks.

“When I think of Elise Jordan, I think of clutch,” Wall softball coach Allyson Seider said. “She had to step in and fill some roles this season that not just any kid could do. She did a great job at second base, was coachable, and I am most impressed with the year she had at the plate. As the year went on, she found herself in the top of our lineup and did a job! She doesn’t let mistakes get to her, and holds herself beyond her years. One of my favorite attributes about Elise is that she will always give her team her best. We are so excited to see what all she accomplishes for us in the Lady Hawk softball program.”

Co-Comeback Player of the Year

Mia Clemmer, sr., Coahoma, C

University of Texas softball signee Clemmer was named the Greater Texas Ford Female Athlete of the Month in April and was a 3A-D2 All-Tournament State Team selection. The senior hit .500 with a .587 on-base percentage, adding seven doubles, one triple, three home runs, and 19 RBIs.

“Mia has been a huge part of the Coahoma success for the last 4 years,” Coahoma assistant coach Cassie Lewis said. “Injuries and knee surgery limited her playing time, but we got her back just in time for playoffs. Her softball IQ is one of the best around and she has always been a leader on and off the field.”

Co-Comeback Player of the Year

KK Lloyd, jr., Colorado City, P/1B

Lloyd earned a spot on the District 6-2A second team after batting .342 with a .377 OBP and .425 slugging. The junior also tallied 19 RBIs. From the circle, she had a 2.40 ERA and 54 strikeouts.

“KK (Lloyd) had to miss half of last season, her sophomore year, and many doubted that she would be able to return to softball at all or compete at the high level she once did,” Colorado coach Jamie Casarez said. “She picked up where she left off and defied all expectations, coming back even stronger than before.

“She’s had to grow up quicker than most — she practices at an elite level, keeps her grades up, is studying to be a CNA, stays up late, wakes up early, goes to extra pitching and batting practices, works and never once has complained. In fact, we have to check in with her to make sure she’s not overextending herself and to see if she needs help of any kind. If she’s sore or hurting, you’d never know it because she’s truly someone who doesn’t complain, always smiles, and keeps a positive attitude at all times. No one is more deserving of this. … Don’t let her numbers fool you, KK is incredibly dangerous both in the circle and at the plate. Her sacrifice hits always come at the best times and when pitching, she can put the ball anywhere she wants. She and Mia (Obenhaus) are a fun duo to have in the circle because they define ‘iron sharpening iron.’ They’re best friends who encourage and push one another to be the best.”

Coach of the Year

Alex Orosco, Coahoma

Orosco led Coahoma to its fifth-straight state championship game, solidfying this group of Bulldogette’s as the preeminent dynasty in Texas high school softball history. While they did not end up hoisting the state championship at the end of the season, their state championship runners-up title is nearly as impressive. The team ended the season with a 27-5 record and an 11-1 district championship, while missing Texas signee Mia Clemmer for a majority of the season. Orosco stepped down from his position at the beginning of June.
