A Michigan State hockey defenseman will be spending this week in the Big Apple for the New York Rangers’ development camp.
Spartans defenseman Sean Barnhill received an invitation to the Rangers’ development camp this week. Barnhill is one of 12 Rangers’ defensemen prospects that’ll participate in this year’s event.
Barnhill was selected by the Rangers in the third round of the 2025 NHL Draft. He was the No. 70 overall pick in that draft.
Barnhill will be entering his sophomore season with the Spartans this fall. He appeared in 37 games for Michigan State during his freshman season, recording four assists from the blue line.
