With a major warming trend sweeping over the state, Detroiters are in for a hot week as “feel-like” temperatures reach as high as 110 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
“Extreme heat is expected this week,” a post from NWS Detroit reads.
“Hot and humid conditions arrive Monday (June 29) with heat indices nearing 100 degrees. Hottest conditions expected Tuesday (June 30) through Thursday (July 2) with potential for highs to reach 100 degrees and heat indices in excess of 105 degrees.”
