GREENBUSH TWP. – One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a crash on US-27 north of St. Johns on Sunday, June 28.
An Elsie man, 64, was turning southbound onto US-27 from Maple Rapids Road when his vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
The Elsie man was killed in the crash. The driver and a passenger of the other vehicle were a 51-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man, both from the DeWitt area, the sheriff’s office said. They were transported to Lansing area hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Deputies were assisted by the St. Johns, Ashley and Maple Rapids fire departments, Clinton Area Ambulance, the Clinton County Road Commission and Clinton County Central Dispatch.
