HOWELL — Thousands of spectators watched as hot air balloons lifted into the skies during the annual Michigan Challenge Balloonfest 2026, which ran June 26-28 at Howell High School.
The annual event — hosted by the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce — has been dubbed “one of the premier summertime activities in Michigan.”
In addition to the highly attended balloon launches, the weekend offered crafts, live music, juggling shows, an open air market, a classic car show and a new pancake breakfast.
