INDIANAPOLIS — Exactly one year to the day after tearing his Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton returned to the hardwood at Gainbridge Fieldhouse … to save the day for the Indiana Fever.
The Indiana Pacers superstar left his seats underneath the Fever basket to help jar a basketball loose from behind the backboard less than a minute into Monday’s game against the Phoenix Mercury.
It’s the 6-foot-5 guard’s first on-court contributions since suffering that series-changing injury, which occurred with five minutes left in the first quarter. The score was 16-16 at the time.
The Pacers would go on to lose 103-91.
