The Miami Dolphins ended their 2025 campaign in third place in the division with a 7-10 record, which led to sweeping changes across the organization, including a new general manager and head coach.
Heading into 2026, the Dolphins aren’t expected to be a better team, as they’re rebuilding their roster with the hopes of constructing a long-term contender under Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley’s leadership.
While there’s still plenty of work to do throughout training camp and the preseason, this is a great time to look at the odds for winning the AFC East this year.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Buffalo Bills are the favorites at -125. The New England Patriots are +120, and the New York Jets are +1900. Miami’s odds of winning the division for the first time since 2008 are a whopping +4000.
Things could obviously shift before the start of the season, but it’s really tough to imagine the Dolphins winning the AFC East in 2026. In fact, there’s a much better chance that Miami has the worst record in the league and secures the top pick in the 2027 NFL draft, which could speed up their rebuild.
