Former Oklahoma softball All-American transfer commits to Texas Tech

The Texas Tech Lady Raiders have added another All-American to their roster. Former Oklahoma Sooners outfielder Kasidi Pickering officially announced her commitment to Texas Tech Thursday on Instagram.

Pickering, who is from Humble, Texas, had three strong seasons with the Sooners before entering the portal ahead of her senior season. She played in 186 games with 182 starts, making the NFCA First Team All-Midwest Region in 2026 and 2025, All-SEC First Team in 2025, Women’s College World Series All-Tournament Team in 2024, and was a Softball America Freshman All-American in 2024.

She is a career .384 hitter with 50 home runs, 35 doubles, 169 RBI, and 169 runs scored. While she throws righty, she hits from the left side of the plate and has a .516 on-base percentage and a .773 slugging percentage in 485 career at-bats.

Pickering is now the crown jewel of Texas Tech’s 2026 transfer class, which will once again be among the best in the country. She is ranked as the No. 2 overall player and No. 1 outfielder in the portal by Softball America.

The Lady Raiders have now landed six transfers, with three of them ranking among the top seven players in the portal. Outfielder Moriah Poler (Purdue) is the No. 5 overall player and No. 2 outfielder, and pitcher Jayden Heavener (LSU) is the No. 7 overall player and No. 1 pitcher. The class is rounded out by pitcher Hailey Maestretti (Utah), infielder Bradi Gallaway (Louisiana Tech), and outfielder Zoie Bernard (Michigan State)
