Downed trees and lines close two northern Portage County roads June 18

The Portage County Engineer’s office said two northern Portage County roads are closed June 17 due to downed trees and utility lines, including:

FirstEnergy Corp. reported about 125 of its customers were without power due to tree damage in the vicinity of the Goodell Road closure, with an estimated restoration of time of by noon, but was not reporting any outages in the area of the Streeter road closure.

As of about 9:30 a.m., FirstEnergy was reporting that a little under 250 of its Portage County customers were without power, scattered in a number of communities.
