Summer fun fills Manitowoc Public Library this week

MANITOWOC – Looking for something fun to do in Manitowoc this week? Manitowoc Public Library has a packed lineup of activities in the coming days, from story times and summer reading to outdoor adventures, martial arts and hands-on maker projects.

The library at 707 Quay St. is also continuing its Summer Reading Program, which runs through Aug. 8 and includes weekly prizes for all ages.

Story time fans can choose from Baby Storytime at 9:30 a.m. and Preschool Storytime at 10:30 a.m. on June 18, 24 and 25, while teens can head to the lawn for Summer Wilderness Adventures with the Woodsy Dude from 5 to 7 p.m. June 18.

Coming up next, families can sample Taste of Tae Kwon Do from 11 a.m. to noon June 20, then explore a busy stretch of maker activities in the Idea Box: State Heart Keychains with the Glowforge on June 22; patriotic projects featuring 3Doodler pens and Cricut rosettes on June 23; and Zine Scene Summer on June 24 for young writers and creators. Some programs require registration.
