MSU football picks up commitment from 3-star Colorado TE prospect

Michigan State football has picked up another commitment following an impactful weekend of official visits.

Ryan Pankey of Montrose, Colo. announced his commitment to the Spartans on Monday morning. Pankey’s commitment comes after his official visit and is the fourth commitment Michigan State picked up this past weekend.

Pankey is listed as a three-star tight end prospect, with a recruiting rating of 85 in 247Sports’ system. He ranks as the No. 8 player from Colorado and No. 113 athlete in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports.

Michigan State beat out offers from 14 other schools for Pankey’s commitment, according to 247Sports. Some of the more notable schools to offer him includes Oregon State, Washington State, Colorado State, Navy, San Diego State, UNLV and Wyoming.
