Woman, 19, critically injured in Lansing shooting

LANSING – Police said a 19-year-old woman is in critical condition after being shot about 3 a.m. in a city park.

Officers responded to the 2700 block of Moores River Drive, near Frances Park, for a report of a shooting and found the woman, Lansing police spokesperson Jordan Gulkis said. She was transported to a Lansing area hospital in critical condition.

Gulkis said a person of interest in the incident is in custody

She said police are investigating what led up to the incident and an investigation is continuing.

No additional details were released.
